Surfers get
organized
A grassroots coalition stewarding a new vision for the Eagle River Park.
Built on the wave, for the community
The Eagle River Park Coalition is a group of water recreation enthusiasts who believe in the community value of high-performance, well-designed, in-river features. We came together after meeting and building friendships on community boards while surfing the wave at Eagle River Park.
Generational communities of river surfers are growing everywhere — from Salida to Boise to Ebensee, Austria. Since opening day, the river park has been a fantastic community gathering spot, with in-river features serving as a focal point for high-performance surfing and kayaking, as well as swimming and tubing during the hot late months of summer.
Having witnessed what's possible with the opening of Salida's new Scout Wave 2.0, we've come to see that there's so much more potential in the Eagle River — for a longer season, safer features, and continued growth.
